ATLANTA, June 1, 2018 - Burr & Forman LLP announces the addition of five attorneys to its Atlanta office, strengthening the firm's creditors' rights and bankruptcy and labor and employment teams already in place in the Southeast.

Joining as partners are Paul G. Durdaller, Brian J. Levy, and Christine S. Tenley. Valerie K. Richmond joins as counsel, and Nina Maja Bergmar joins as an associate. With these additions the firm now has over 40 attorneys in its Atlanta office and more than 60 lawyers firm wide licensed to practice in Georgia.

Paul Durdaller joins Burr & Forman as a partner in the Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy Practice Group. With more than 25 years of experience, he represents financial institutions and other creditors in all aspects of creditors' rights, as well as committees, trustees, examiners and receivers. His practice focuses on creditors' rights, loan workouts and restructuring, troubled asset management and dispositions, bankruptcy proceedings, and related commercial litigation. In addition, Durdaller represents lenders in connection with the negotiating, structuring and documenting of various commercial loans including interest rate swaps, asset-based loans and factoring transactions. He earned his bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Brian Levy also joins as a partner in the firm's Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy Practice Group. He is an experienced litigator focusing on representing financial institutions, mortgage servicers and other creditors in state and federal courts throughout Georgia. He has extensive experience litigating and arbitrating complex business disputes across a range of industries, including financial institutions, real estate, insurance, manufacturing and technology. Levy earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and his law degree from William and Mary School of Law.

Christine Tenley joins Burr & Forman as a partner in the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group. She is an employment litigator with a wide variety of first chair experience in employment discrimination, traditional labor, wage and hour, and restrictive covenants/trade secrets litigation. Christine represents a variety of companies ranging from small businesses to international corporations. Tenley earned her bachelor's degree from Stevenson University and her law degree from Tulane University Law School.

Valerie Richmond joins as counsel in the firm's Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy Practice Group. Her practice focuses on representing institutional lenders, including national and regional banks, as well as other creditors, trustees, committees and receivers in all aspects of creditors' rights and workouts, both inside and out of bankruptcy court. Richmond also works with lenders in a variety of areas including documentation of interest rate swaps, asset-based loans and factoring transactions. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and her law degree from DePaul University College of Law.

Nina Maja Bergmar joins Burr & Forman as an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group. She counsels and defends clients in employment discrimination, wage and hour compliance, family and medical leave compliance, restrictive covenants, and related tort and contract claims. She also counsels employers on immigration matters. Bergmar earned her bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and her law degree from Vanderbilt Law School.
