DeVries explains how the new president will not change the current situation for immigrants stating, "I don't think him being elected as the new president is going to have a direct effect, negatively or positively, on this particular issue of a lack of skilled labor." When asked how Trump's $550 billion pledge to repair American roads will affect the construction industry, DeVries replied, "The real question is: Are there going to be workers who can do that work? The problem Tennessee faces still exists. Until our leaders… put together educational training and incentive programs to grow the talent pool of skilled labor, it's going to be a problem."
