Overview
Amy Wilkes regularly counsels employers with respect to all types of human resource issues.
This experience includes employee hiring, discipline and termination, wage and hour issues, reductions in force, mergers and acquisitions, immigration compliance, employee investigations, workers compensation retaliatory discharge, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, preparation and review of employee handbooks, and the development of personnel policies and procedures. Her practice also includes representing and defending employers in a broad array of federal and state agency investigations and litigation of individual and class claims arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, the National Labor Relations Act, and numerous other federal and state employment laws.
During law school Amy served as Managing Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review and was listed on the Dean’s List.
