Overview
John Wilson Booth is an Associate in the firm’s Transportation, Insurance and Product section. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law, graduating magna cum laude and as a member of Order of the Coif. While in law school, John Wilson served as the Acquisitions Editor for the Alabama Law Review. Before law school, John Wilson attended the University of Alabama, where he was a member of The Blackburn Institute and Jasons Senior Men’s Honor Society and he earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration, cum laude.
Before joining Burr & Forman, John Wilson served as a law clerk for Chief Judge L. Scott Coogler of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
In his free time, John Wilson enjoys fly fishing, hunting, playing golf, and spending time with his wife, Paige, and their 130-pound Newfoundland, Merle.

- Drafted Petition for Writ of Certiorari to the United States Supreme Court in a death penalty appeal.
- Drafted a successful appellate brief to the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals in a case involving an ambiguous procedural statute governing property condemnations.
- Drafted a Motion for Summary Judgment in a multi-million-dollar toxic-tort case in federal court.
